KAY PEE offers a complete range of power and distribution transformers designed to grant the reliability, durability, and efficiency required in utility, industrial, and commercial applications. KAY PEE 's Resin cast transformers are manufactured in accordance with the most demanding industry and international standards. Transformers can be used for indoor or outdoor applications and can be provided with off-load and on-load tap changers.

The transformer are manufactured in accordance with IS 2026/1977, IS 11171/1885, IEC 60076 or as per customer’s custom requirement.

The transformers will be suitable for outdoor or indoor installation with three phase, 50Hz, 11 kV system in which the neutral is effectively earthed and they should be suitable for service with fluctuations in supply voltage up to plus 5% to minus 5%.

Dry-type transformer: Transformer of which the magnetic circuit and windings are not immersed in an insulating liquid.

Encloser : Design of encloser is dependent upon the location and environmental condition in which transformer installed.

Totally enclosed dry-type transformer: Transformer in an un-pressurized enclosure cooled by the circulation of the internal air.

Enclosed dry-type transformer: Transformer in a ventilated enclosure cooled by the circulation of the external air.

Non-enclosed dry-type transformer: Transformer supplied without a protective enclosure cooled by natural or forced air ventilation.

Operation with Fan Cooling : When additional cooling by means of fans is provided, the nominal power rating with and without fans shall be subject to agreement between purchaser and supplier. The rating plate shall indicate both the power rating without fans and the maximum power rating with fan cooling

Humidity: The relative humidity of the surrounding air shall be less than 93 %. No drops of water shall be present on the surface of the coils.

Range : The standard ratings shall be 10, 16, 25, 63, 100, 160, 200, 250, 315, 400,500, 630, 800, 1000, 1250, 1500, 1600, 2000 and 2500 kVA for 11 kV distribution transformers

Vector Group : As per customer’s custom requirement.

Core : The core shall be stack / wound type of high grade cold rolled grain oriented annealed steel lamination having low loss and good grain properties, coated with hot oil proof insulation, bolted together and to the frames firmly to prevent vibration or noise.

Core Test : The preliminary core loss test will be conducted before passing to the assembly stage.

Winding : HV and LV windings shall be wound from Super Enamel covered /Double Paper covered, aluminum /copper conductor/ foil.


Insulation Level : For Dry Type Transformer Class of Insulation will be F , H , C

Tapings : For ratings higher than 250 kVA, tapping shall be provided if required by the purchaser on the higher voltage winding for variation of HV voltage within range of (+) 5.0 % to (-)15.0 % in steps of 2.5%.

BUSHINGS: for 11 kV, 17.5 kV class bushings and for 0.433 kV, 1.1 kV class bushings shall be used.
